Halloween 2019

We enjoyed decorating the house again for Halloween this year. We added a few new bits n pieces but the stalwarts of spiders, bats  and ghosts were the main decorations through out the house.

The tombstones and skeletons buried in the front garden were a hit and took everyone by surprise when they came through the gate. We got some odd looks from the couriers/postman!

Just a few Halloween touches here and there to get into a spooky mood.
(nothing too scary or gruesome though!)
The boys love pulling out the familiar decorations each year and deciding on the perfect spot.

I usually like to make a Halloween themed treat for the boys afternoon tea. I went semi healthy this year with mandarins, mint and chocolate finger biscuits. I drew the faces on with food gel.
They were cute and really easy to make.

Noah had summer soccer to play in the afternoon but afterwards we stopped off at a few houses for trick or treating. It's always lovely to see the houses that get into the Halloween spirit and the delight it brings to the kids. Noah was thrilled with his "candy" haul!

Halloween 2018

We had so much fun celebrating Halloween this year!

Our youngest two boys were so into it and were counting down the days until they could go trick or treating. We got into the "spirit" by putting up a few decorations at home and the costumes were pulled out of the Halloween box.

I felt there were more houses decorated and participating in Halloween this year and there were definitely more kids in costumes trick or treating. It was a fun way to spend a Wednesday night.
It didn't take long before the boys buckets were filled with "candy" and we called it a night.

Halloween Inspiration

Halloween is coming up on Monday and I know there are lots of Halloween parties happening over the weekend so I thought I would put together a few ideas for celebrating this spooky event.

We never go too over the top, just a few decorations on the front door and the light box changed up but it helps get the kids into the spirit. On the actual night the kids will get dressed up and we'll go trick or treating to a few houses. One day I will throw a Halloween party and go all out!
There are so many cool decorations out there!

I've popped together a few ideas for Halloween that I love.......

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!

Can't believe it's been a year since this little one was dressed as a pumpkin.
I might try and get a "then & now" shot :)

Are you trick or treating tonight?
