A weekend away!

I'm so excited for this weekend!

Hubby and I are off on a weekend away, not too far away mind you!

 Just over the Bridge but I can't wait to do all those things that I never get a chance to do during our busy weekends!

Hmmm what to do first?! I reread this post here, to refresh myself on all those shops I want to browse. Maybe a couple of markets thrown in. Cocktails here, (I love the styling!)lunch maybe here, a dinner here or here. A pitt stop here. 

We are staying near here.

Maybe I could fit in a bit more shopping here and here (I'm loving urbanwalkabout.com) Well, I don't know how I will fit it all in but I need to have options!

Anyhoo that's me for the weekend, how about you?

What I bought yesterday.....

Well there is nothing like a bit of impulse buying is there?

I popped into Portmans yesterday for a little browse around, as you do, when my eye was caught by these two jackets.

Both impractical and frivolous. Nothing that I am going to wear daily. But I had to have them!

This cosy little faux fur number  and.....

something to add a little glamour at night :)

I'm picturing them dressing up jeans and a top at night or a dress.

Now I just want some cooler weather so I can wear them.

Any impulse purchases lately?

What I bought yesterday......

I bought this yesterday from Alfresco Emporium.

A giant cupcake mold!

I've always wanted one of these. 

I'm going to make it tomorrow so I will be sure to show pictures.

I am going to make an orange and chocolate pound cake. 

I think chocolate icing is a must too!

I also bought some copper cookie cutters.

I guess you can say I am in a baking mood!

Although I did also buy a loaf of bread and some school shoes for Finn too.

Shopping recommendations from the Design Files.

I came across a post from the Design Files about Surry Hills that made me want to go shopping!

I dont head into the city that much , probably due to lack of time. But I really should make the effort.

Nickson St - I bet I could find those huge letters I want here!

I love to browse around new shops. You could find a real treasure!
