More things for Back to School.

I'm still getting organised with the last bits n pieces for back to school.
I couldn't resist these personalised lunchboxes and backpacks from Stuck on You.
Even though Noah won't be starting kindy til later in the year I always pack him a lunchbox if we're out  and about.
I chose this superhero one as it was super cute!

Packed with his favourite Jarlsberg cheese and pita crackers!
Sophisticated taste and he's not even 2 :)

For Jasper I chose a simple style with just his name, no picture. As the only Jasper in his year at school, this should make it easy for him to keep track of his lunchbox!

I also chose the matching bag, in navy to hide the dirt!

Lots of room for books, lunch boxes, pencil cases etc.

Noah got a matching backpack too. He's using it this weekend as we're going away. Packed with all his essentials.

So cute!

I've always used Stuck on You for their labels but I'm loving these lunchboxes and bags. The shipping was quick too.

Have you tried them?

A new school year.

This week has been a big one with both of my older boys starting new schools.

Jasper started "Big School" this year. He had his first day today and took it in his stride.
He was comfortable straight away and waved us off and let us know he was ready for us to go.
It was a huge relief to see him so happy and at ease. So day 1 down, a million more to go!

Just as Jasper was starting at school, Finn was leaving it and starting Year 5 at another school (an all boys one) that he will go to until Year 12.

It was kind of like starting high school for him as it is quite a large school and lots of older boys. He only knew one or two kids so he is making new friends and finding out where everything is. He seems quite excited by it all and so far so good :)

I'm a bit emotionally drained with the planning and hoping that they would have wonderful first days.
They did, and now I can breathe out!

Anyone else have their babies start school this year?
Luckily I have Noah to keep me company at home, the house is so quiet after the noise of the school holidays :)

My day today :)

Today was one of those days I used to dream about when I thought about being a mum.It was Finn's school Swimming Carnival today. I love going to all the school carnivals and watching him participate. I was so proud of him today.

Finn went in every event, even the events he wasn't too sure about. eg The Open boys 100m freestyle and the Medley (he had never swum those distances before).  All up he went in the Open 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly, 50m breaststroke, 50m backstroke, Medley and he made it into the Junior boys relay race. Someone is going to sleep well tonight :)

Finn got a 1st, 2nd, 3rd a few times and a 4th place, I was just so happy he went in every race and gave it a go. I couldn't of been prouder of him and I know he was proud of himself too. All the kids were fantastic and cheered along all the competitors and the ones struggling in the water a bit. It brought a hormonal tear to my eye!

The school swept through the races pretty quickly and the whole carnival only went from 10am - 1pm. So Finn had an early mark and we had a little lunch. I am loving the Warm Chicken salad from a local cafe at the moment.

Do you go to all the school carnivals? Are you a vocal supporter or more of a quiet spectator?

The sound of silence.

After the whirlwind of this morning getting ready for the first day back at school, all I can hear is silence.

I am going to miss the boys today.
We have had such a great time these last 7 weeks :)

Although 3 o'clock will roll around in no time at all.
It doesnt take long for life to get back to the same old routine.

The up side to the boys being back at school is the house will stay tidier for longer and the cupboard and fridge wont be opened every half hour or so! And I am looking forward to those smiles and hugs at school pick up time.

Can't wait to catch up on all their news.
