Sunday Roast at The Three Blue Ducks

Simon and I drove over to Rosebery on Sunday for a delicious roast at The Three Blue Ducks.

Since it was just the two of us we decided to go out for a roast lunch instead of cooking one and it didn't disappoint. It was delicious!

I chose the roast pork and Simon had the roast beef. The plate was piled high with the most amazing roast veg and gravy and the fluffiest Yorkshire pudding.

We managed to squeeze in a couple of spoonfuls of Basque cheesecake for dessert.

We loved it, definitely recommend!

Weekend things.

We just enjoyed a gorgeous spring weekend full of amazing weather, lovely catch ups and delicious food.

It was Simon's mums birthday and the weekend was full of celebrations. Jasper also celebrated his year 12 formal on Friday night. We also managed a couple of walks. The views were stunning!

Loving my new console table that I snagged in the mid year sales from Coco Republic.

Our backyard refresh is finally complete after a couple of months of work so it was lovely to be able to enjoy it. It will be so nice to use it more these holidays.

Jasper's year 12 formal.

My M.I.L birthday lunch at Jonah's. Amazing!

Hope you had a wonderful weekend too! x

Blue Mountains Getaway

Simon and I got away for a quick stay in the Blue Mountains.

A stop in Leura for lunch and a browse through the shops, a walk near the 3 sisters, a drink at the Mountain Co Brewery then we arrived at our hotel. We stayed at The Chalets in Blackheath. A lovely chalet surrounded by the bush.

It was cosy and the perfect winter stay with a log fire, big bath tub and takeaway delivered from the local Thai place for dinner. Perfect!

It was so peaceful and so good to get away and be surrounded by nature. We were blessed with blue skies so we got to do a few easy walking trails too.

Weekend in Port Stephens

Simon and I had a lovely weekend away in Port Stephens. We had booked this trip earlier in the year when we saw a great deal  at Bannisters. It was a great break from the busyness of the last few months.

We were blessed with fab weather, you could feel spring in the air!

The sun was shining and it was so relaxing to just explore new beaches, enjoy the blue skies and catch up, just the two of us...

We ate at -
Julio's
The Cheeky Dog
Shoal Bay Country Club
Murray's Brewery

We drove around and explored -
Soldiers Point
Anna Bay
Fingal Bay
Shoal Bay
Birubi Beach

We came across the camels on the beach at Birubi Beach. If you drive to the surf club you have a view of the beach and where the camels come out from.

The weekend felt like an old school coastal town holiday and as the warmer weather hasn't started the towns felt very quiet. It was really lovely and relaxing x
