Summer Wardrobe Additions

Every summer it's nice to take stock of your wardrobe and give it a little refresh. It feels good to replace the tired, worn items and add a few new items and colours to give your wardrobe a lift.

Below are a few things that have caught my eye for summer.......

I've also included some summer looks I'm loving!

Marcia from @notsomumsy always gets it right

I love Hayley's boho style! @gypsytigerlily

I always love @Spell_byronbay and everything they do!

18 of my Autumn / Winter Fashion Essentials

As March rolls around it's about that time that I start to think about adding a few additions to my wardrobe. I'm ready to get out of the Summer gear and move into jeans.

I've stuck with my "uniform" from past years for  the Autumn/Winter season and my day to day needs.  The colours and patterns may change but the basics remain - jeans, tees, flat shoes, scarves, jackets with a couple of new accessories thrown in.  This year I've gone for a more muted neutural palette but my favourite stripes and leopard print are still there. There is also a little faux fur thrown in for some night time glamour.

Here is some of my Autumn/Winter Fashion Inspiration -

Winter Uniform - what I'm wearing.

I thought I'd share what I'm wearing lately.
My winter uniform so to speak.

These clothes get me through my standard days of working from home, grocery shopping, school pick ups and drop offs, outings to the park but most importantly, chasing a tearaway 2 year old!

The outfits are casual and easy. They are based around jeans, a cute jumper (I feel they are more comfortable & less snaggable than knits), flat shoes and a scarf to give the outfit a bit of colour.

Obviously a singlet and long sleeve underneath the jumper ensures a bit of extra warmth. I don't do jackets as they make me feel too rugged up. I prefer to wear several thinner layers.

Here are my pick of a few inexpensive pieces from chain stores that you can buy online. My shopping method of choice at the moment. So much easier than hitting the shops with kids ;)

Scarves - 1. Sportsgirl, 2. Country Road, 3Dottie

Jumpers - 4 + 5. Cotton On, 6. Country Road

Sneakers - 7. Seed8. Surfstitch9. General Pants

Jeans - 10. Jeanswest, 11. Sportsgirl, 12. Cotton On

In previous winters I have dressed up a bit more with jeans, boots, fur vests, blazers, more tailored pieces but for where my life is at the moment, cute, casual + comfy works.

How are you dressing this winter?
What is your favourite piece that you are wearing constantly?

Cute boys clothes on Etsy!

They always say that little girls have the cutest clothes.
I have to agree there but with 3 boys, I'm always on the lookout for cute boys clothes. Also something that is a little different and not seen everywhere.

I came across this Etsy store, Paul and Paula Shop that is selling cool clothes for boys.

I love this dinosaur hoodie :)

Adore this jacket too

I love the idea of comfy pants and a hoodie for Noah in Winter. So cosy.

I have ordered the t shirt below for Noah to wear on his birthday. Perfect don't you think? Hooray!

Do you do this?

Do you do this?
Do you save an outfit for just the right time?

I have a dress still hanging in my cupboard that I was saving for Christmas Day. It was too muggy on the day for me to wear it whilst I was cooking and running around being hostessy so now it is waiting for the right time to be worn.

Which outfit are you saving?

Ready for Colour!

I'm loving all of these colour combos right now.
Lurrrrve the colour blocking!
Another sign that I'm OVER Winter and ready for another season.
Next!

I'm at home enjoying the peace and quiet today, the kids have gone back to school and I might even pop out to have a browse around the shops.
Just because I can :)

Enjoy your day
