STILLS - Lately......

How have you been?
I thought I'd pop in and share some photos from around here lately

I stopped into The Pot Warehouse in Mona Vale the other day for a browse and came home with a few new plants. You can never have enough greenery.

We had lunch at Park House Food and Liquor next door.
Beautiful interiors and delicious food. The perfect combo!

Dash loved my new leopard print linen and made himself right at home.
He loves to nap the day away.

We caught up with family at home.

Friday's are usually for catch ups and lunch out.
We tried out Manly Greenhouse and I loved the decor and the pizzas. It's a 3 level restaurant in a wonderful location opposite the beach.

Have a great week!

Around here lately....

Hello! How have you been? I thought I would round up a few photos and share what has been happening around here lately. It's nothing overly exciting just the usual busy week. There is always something to be done and my "to do" list is endless! Simon was away in Bali surfing last week so I was even busier as I juggled everything myself.  Here are some photos from the past week or so.....

The weather has been lovely and you can feel it starting to warm up. Spring is just around the corner!
We have had lots of sickness in the house this winter with colds and tonsillitis, more than any other year, so hopefully this warmer weather will put an end to it.

We waved Simon off on a week's surfing trip in Bali. They were some of the best waves he's ever had so he was stoked. I feel so tired this week though as I never sleep well when he's away!

Noah's room got a little tidy and freshen up.
I like to move the bed around every few months just to mix things up a bit ;)

I love this view when I walk in the front door. I'm usually the only one that uses this sitting area so it always stays nice and tidy. Bliss!

We had Book Week this week. We took the easy option with Jasper's costume this year! ;)
He really loves The Diary of a Wimpy Kid series.

Pink tulips are brightening up the dining table this week.

The slowest ever bathroom refresh continues on.....
Apart from the tiling which was done perfectly by Simon's uncle, everything else has had a delay. There was a crack in the vanity when they put it on the truck so we had to wait another week or so for it to be replaced. The bath facade measurements were wrong and when they went to install it the piece wouldn't fit! Another week went by while we waited for another piece to be remade. We then had the glass for the shower screen measured and when they came the measurements were wrong too! 3 different tradie errors! So frustrating, what is that saying....measure twice, cut once? Anyhoo the bathroom is usable so it hasn't inconvenienced us too much but it will be nice when it's finished.
Hopefully by next week!

I'm looking forward to pushing that champagne button at the end of the week! ;)

How has your week been? What have you been up to lately?

My week.....

How has your week been?
This week they had peonies at Woolies, I couldn't resist and bought a bunch.
It was beautiful to watch them open up over the week.

Simon and I usually share a pot of green tea after dinner but we decided on a hot chocolate the other night instead. I saw these "chocolates on a stick" at Target the other day and thought I'd try them out. Yum!

I saw some cute sushi on Pinterest in the shape of Pandas the other day and thought I'd give it a try. Halfway through I realised they had used a panda shaped mold!
Of course I didn't have one, so I had to wing it. The boys liked them  ;)

Mum and I went for a walk on Friday and popped into the Boathouse at Shelley Beach for a peek.
It's only been open for a week or so and is the "new kid in town" so the place is packed!
It looks lovely and the gardens out the back are beautiful.

The sun was shining on Saturday and it was lovely to sit out in the sun and watch Finn play 2 games of football. Rugby union in the morning and league in the afternoon.

I've been taking photos of gardens on my walks as I'm gathering ideas for our garden revamp.
I'm so tempted to paint our house white and I'm trying to see if it would work with our current black accents (roof, garage door, window frames etc)

The weeks are flying by but so are the weekends!

I'm looking forward to the end of this week as Finn's school holidays begin and we're off to Bali to bask in the sun a few days after that. I can't wait!

I hope your week was a good one x

My week....

It has been a busy month around here and I feel that May has flown by.
I'm looking forward to a quieter June with the extra bonus of a holiday at the end of the month.

Here is what I've been up to this week -
I gave Finn's desk area a little tidy up plus finally got around to spraying the gumball machine.
We got it at Christmas time so it has only taken me 5 months to do it! It was originally red and from Target if you're interested. Not sure if they are still in stock.

Finn and Noah are really into "camping" at the moment. This is one of their minimalist camps.
Usually it consists of every cushion, pillow and throw in the house!

I popped into a little treasure trove of a shop the other day and finally found the brass moroccan tray I've been looking for.

Bondi is always beautiful and especially when the sun is shining.

The boys loved making the Gummi Bear icebox for my birthday. They took it very seriously ;)

High tea at Boronia House was a treat this week and the building and grounds were really lovely.

I'm all about blue at the moment and this teal velvet quilt cover from Kip and Co is perfection!
It was a little birthday gift to myself  ;)

I turned a year older and had a great lunch at Coogee Pavilion to celebrate
Don't you just love this giant Scrabble game?!

More of my birthday here

How has your week been?
