Saturday Sweets - Chocolate Crunch Bars

Saturday is the day where I usually get a chance to potter around the kitchen.

Sweet always takes preference over savoury in this house, so I am always on the lookout for yummy new recipes to try.
Chocolate anything is always a favourite!

I loved the look of these Chocolate Crunch Bars I saw on TakeaMegabite.com

They also look super easy, I have the ingredients in my cupboard and the kids can help me make them.
Win, win, win!

Decadence!

OMG, did you ever hear of anything as decadent as a Tim Tam cake?!

I have pinned this to make one day :)
We do have a family birthday coming up, hmmm maybe I should attempt it.

Have a scrumptious Saturday!

Delicious Dinner

Simon and I had a night off from the kids the other day and decided to treat ourselves to a dinner out.

We decided to try Pony Lounge and Dining, which is on the corner of Argyle Pl & Kendall Lane in The Rocks.

The atmosphere was very sexy , moody vibe. Felt a little like a french bistro. The space is quite narrow so you are sitting quite close to your neighbours. So a personal conversation is a bit out of the question! But the food was the best I have had for a long time and the service was professional and attentive.

We were starving by the time we got there as the only availabilty they had was for 8.30pm. We usually eat around 6pm - 6.30pm with the kids!!

We decided to share the Grilled Italian flat bread with smoky eggplant & white bean dip and these lovely little pork and fennel chippolata sausages to start with.

They were the perfect little plates, enough but not too much to fill you up before our mains.

I had the Cutlet of grain fed pork, crackling, white bean puree, sauteed sprouts ( I couldnt stop raving about the brussel sprouts, who knew!) and Simon had the Sirloin, thick cut chips, watercress salad, bearnaise sauce. Hubby is quite particular about his steak and he said it was cooked to perfection.

We couldnt quite fit it all in but it was wonderful to walk out feeling so satisfied.

All in all a terrific dinner out.  We will definately be returning :)
