What I would like to do this week :)

After a hugely busy week last week with not much to show for it(!), I really hope I can tick a few things off the list this week. Nothing major, just things that have been niggling me.
I finally ordered the Clarisonic Mia. I have heard amazing things about this product for over a year and had went to order it before but it was out of stock. Reading this article at Life.Styled today reminded me, so here's to trying something new for my skin and feeling not so old. Here's to the magic cure ;)

Noah's party is coming up fast. I always plan these huge beautiful parties in my head but they do take planning so this week is the time to get organised!

I haven't been happy with my hair the last couple of times I have had it done. Too dark, too much of a reddish base etc etc. Maybe I am just a true blonde at heart, but I feel the need to go lighter again. Also all of the boys (except Noah ;) have said they prefer me blonde. Who am I to argue? Back to the hairdressers I go :)

I must get the boys passports organised this week as we are all going over to a friends wedding in Fiji in May. Got to love an island holiday in the middle of the year. We've never been to Fiji, so any tips for kids/babies?

I really want to paint our barstools yellow, I'm trying to introduce pops of colour here and there. Now to find the time to sand and then repaint. If I had my way I would just slap some paint on but Simon has said I have to do it properly :P

So that is just a few things I would like to get done on top of the usual routine and day to day life. Let's see how I go :)

Sunday - Whose job is it?

We all have our jobs around here. I love that on a Sunday morning it is just "known" that Simon will be the one to go out and get the papers and a coffee while I wait at home. Also taking the rubbish out is his domain too. 

My jobs around the house are far too numerous to mention ;)

I was just wondering if everyone has those jobs that have never been spoken about but are just known?

Update on my jobs around the house.

I thought I would update you with my progress on the jobs I wanted to complete around the house.

Well, my progress is zero!

I have all these wonderful ideas BUT they are still on the drawing board.

I wanted to redo Jasper's room, which I talked about here. 
The main feature of the room is the wall map. I have trawled every site to find the exact one I want but can't find it. 
They are either the wrong colour or the wrong size.
 Solution = make one myself. I have have created a file and I'm getting it made up on canvas. Details to come at a later date!

I wanted to create a library feel in the lounge area also. 
More book shelves etc. I was going to be happy just buying a couple of bookcases (free-standing) and putting them along the wall. Silly me, once I got Simon involved it has now become this big production of custom built shelves, cupboards and tv unit. It will look amazing once finished but now it is a custom piece, so I won't have it for another month or so. Frustrating for me, as I want everything now!!

My vintage mirrors that I bought are still waiting to be hung. I can't decide exactly where I want them.

I have 2 cans of white spray paint that I'm desperate to use but this rainy weather is playing havoc with my design ambitions! 
I want to spray paint my eiffel tower white and a couple of other bits n bobs.

So all in all, nothing really to report!
