This year's Christmas decor picks!

Christmas decorations are one of my weaknesses.

Each year I love when the Christmas decor begins to filter into the shops. Even thoughwevhave a much loved collection of Christmas decor that I have collected over the years, it doesn't stop me wanting to add a few new pieces each festive season.

I've popped up some of the decorations that have caught my eye this year...

Jasper turns 11

We had a birthday in the house yesterday. Our sweet Jasper turned 11!

He woke up to birthday balloons and presents, we went to see Avengers Infinity at the movies and blew out some candles on cake for afternoon tea.

We're going to do a joint birthday lunch with family on the weekend and a party with friends in the
next couple of weeks as we celebrate our gorgeous boy.

Happy birthday Jasper, we love you xx

Easter decorating + making Easter Bark

With Easter coming up this weekend I thought I share with you a few of the simple Easter touches I've added to the house. It's all about the bunnies and easter eggs. Wooden and chocolate!

The Easter eggs have had to be replenished a couple of times.
Obviously they've been too tempting for some! ;)

We also made some Easter Bark. The pastel colours look so pretty for Easter.
Chocolate on top of chocolate!
I saw the idea in one of Cole's magazines at the supermarket the other day and thought I would give it a go. It's looks so cute and is a perfect dessert for an Easter feast.

Recipe for the Easter Bark found here

For more Easter ideas from Coles read here

Easter decorative items:

Wooden stumps - Big W

Green rabbit - Woolworths

We'll be having a quiet Easter at home this year? What are your plans?

Get the Christmas look at Kmart.

The excitement in the house is at an all time high as we get closer to Christmas Day.
The house is decorated, the presents wrapped and the countdown is on!
It's my favourite time of the year and I love all the traditions that go with it.

I've collected most of my Christmas decorations over the years but I'm always happy to add some new pieces to our collection. The Kmart catalogue was in our mailbox the other day and I loved how they had styled all of their Christmas looks. So I decided to pop into Kmart and of course I couldn't resist picking up a few new bits and pieces to add some Christmas cheer around the house.
Has anyone left Kmart empty handed? I certainly haven't!!!!

I took home a wooden star, a gold wire noel, a light filled bell jar, 2 empty bell jars that I could pop my own christmas scene under and some tree decorations.

Some of my favourite picks from the Kmart Christmas collection..........

They have so many lovely Christmassy things for a great price! Also lots of plates, linen and decorative pieces to create an amazing Christmas table.

You can shop the whole Kmart section here
Also there is a 24 hour Kmart at Southgate Shopping Centre, Sylvania! How wonderful is that?!

Have you popped into Kmart lately? Is your home ready for Christmas?

Happy Australia Day

Wishing you all a wonderful Australia Day!

I couldn't resist making this "Iced Vovo" cake for morning tea.

It was too easy as I bought pre made sponges, made pink icing using Betty Crockers finest in a tub, popped on some jam and covered the whole cake with desiccated coconut.
Delicious!
What are you up to today?
