Winter things...

It feels like winter has been going on forever! It has also been very full. I always find term 3 so hectic as everything gets crammed in before the end of the year.

Simon and I were in the city the other day looking at tiles and stone for our upcoming floor & kitchen reno and decided to stop into The Grounds for a coffee and breakfast. It's been years since we had stopped in. It used to be a real favourite! The current theme was Winter Wonderland. It was pretty in places but I feel The Grounds is looking a little tired and dated and could use a little refresh.

We also celebrated some family birthdays. Simon and Finn turned another year older so there were lunches and dinners out to mark the occasions.

Jasper is currently in year 12 and doing his trials. He is having a year of "last times".
It has been a little sad to see some things coming to end. He had his final performance at the Conservatorium. We have really enjoyed watching his band and solo performances over the past with the school.

We've been trying to get out for walks when the never ending amount of rain Sydney has been getting stops for a while.

I've added some chocolate tones in the furnishings around the house for winter. It feels very cosy and perfect for the season.

How has your winter been? Stay warm! x

Winter 2024

A little snippet of life lately...

Also a few photos from Finn's Euro trip - he was away for 9 weeks and fit so much in.
We loved following along from home.

Winter Mood

The mornings are cold and misty, the heater is on.
Warm pj's or trackpants are the go to outfit when at home.
Delicious soups and warming pasta dishes are on the menu.
An extra blanket added to the bed.
Winter is here.
A few photos that sum up my winter mood...

What's your favourite thing about winter?

Long weekend vibes.

We just had the loveliest long weekend.
It came at the perfect time when the extra day off was really appreciated!

It was filled with a few of the boy's soccer games, lunches out, a browse through some nurseries which resulted in a couple of new plants coming home with me and a bushwalk at West Head.
The weather was perfect after a few days of rain in a row, it was great to be out and about in the sun.

I've popped up a few photos from our weekend .......

How was your weekend?
Hope it was a great one x
