Lately....

It's been a long week as we come out of several days of sickness and the washing machine going constantly. Most of the household has been down with a stomach bug but thankfully we are all on the mend. I've popped a few photos up of what we were enjoying before the dreaded germs hit.

The winter sunshine has been amazing and on certain days you can feel the warmth in the air and the hint of Spring. My cacti make me happy each time I walk up to the front door.

Noah was the cutest Willy Wonka for Book Week.

It was the end of winter sport and Finn and his team finished Grand Final winners.

Noah enjoyed his soccer season too and is already signed up for summer soccer.
Jasper gave soccer a miss this season in favour of tennis and futsal with his school teams.

I captured a few photos when the house was tidy. You have to document these moments! ;)

With  gastro in the house we had to string up extra washing lines to deal with the towels and linen!
Thankfully the sun was out!

How was your week? Hopefully germ free!

Sick Leave.

Noah and I have been struck down with the flu.
It's oh so heartbreaking to hear his chesty cough :(
But doesn't he look cute in his fleecy pj's?
Hopefully we will be feeling a bit better tomorrow.

Silence.

It's been a bit quiet at Honey and Fizz. I've been struggling with the flu for the past 5 days.

Hopefully I am on the mend, it was lovely to wake up today feeling a little bit better :)

I've lost my voice though! Very frustrating!
I'm lucky that Simon has picked up the slack and has been able to ferry the boys around and I have just been able to rest.

Every time I get this sick I feel like it is a reminder for me to slow down (these past months have been crazy busy!)make time for exercise, eat lovely, healthy food and basically just take time for myself.

I'm full of good intentions! Now just to get my strength back and get into it :)

Just call me Nurse.....

I am putting my Nurse cap on today.
Simon is having a knee operation and will have to be off his feet for at least 10 days and then limited movement from then.
Complete recovery should be 8 weeks.

Eeek!

I'm not cut out for the Nurse role.
My patience with my patient tends to run out after a day or so! Or maybe it is just he is a difficult patient ;)

Anyhoo he will be working from home for the next couple of weeks and keeping me busy no doubt!

How are you as a Nurse? How do you keep your patience? :)
