Renovation Inspiration

 Last year we built our office/ studio apartment addition onto our garage. You can see it here

This year we will hopefully be updating our home interiors and building a second level with our parent's retreat upstairs. We have completed a few projects over the years with a kitchen update, bathroom update and our dishwasher disaster that resulted in our white floors but we are going to be replacing some items that are original from our initial build 20 years ago. 

Even though they are still functional they are looking their age and showing some wear and tear. Things on the list are fresh paint, new window coverings, carpet, laundry update,  doors etc

I've started to put together some mood boards and inspiration for how I would love our home to look.

It's just about light and airy, clean and simple. Lots of white as always but adding in texture and colour with wood, stone and natural fibres.

Home love - Colourful Interior!

I just came across this gorgeous Norwegian home and it reconfirmed for me my love of white and colour! I love it all! Especially that kitchen nook, it looks like the perfect place to hang out.

Home Love.

I've had time on these holidays to get through piles of magazines. There is nothing like a flick through a magazine while enjoying the sun.
I was reading Country Style and this home caught my eye. I'm loving all of the colour and eclectic style.

Sorry for the terrible pics, but I had to snap them on my phone straight from the magazine.
The home is owned by Prue Hufton of Olive and Clover and she said  Anna Spiro was a big influence on her style. I love Anna's style so I think this is why this house speaks to me.
So many clever ideas, I really love the old tennis racquet display and the framed rattles in the little one's room.
