Last night - dusk at the Noodle Markets
We drove into the city last night just as dusk was falling.
We headed to the Night Noodle Market in Hyde Park along with lots of other people.
I love the novelty of being out doing something different on a Tuesday night, away from the usual nightly routine.
Here are a few snippets of the night -
I did take a few photos of the food but there is something about dumplings and noodles that photograph ugly! Not appetising at all, so you will just have to use your imagination ;)
Most of the lines for the food stalls moved quite quickly and there was always somewhere to sit. The most popular stalls we saw were for "Chip on a Stick" (!) and "Hoy Pinoy" - who were selling BBQ pork and chicken skewers. The scent in the air was delish.
We were too full to try anything else so it would be great to go back a couple of nights to try different things.
We must have missed the Messina stall as I'm sure we could've fit something sweet in to finish the night :)
The Night Noodle Markets run as part of Good Food Month and are on in Sydney until the 26th October. Well worth a look I'd say although I'm sure it will be super busy over the weekend.
We went to the Night Noodle Markets for the first time last year and I think we will try to make it an annual event. You can read more info here
Have you been?
What was your favourite stall?
