I booked that trip to New York!
Simon and I will be leaving in about 6 weeks for a week in New York and I can't wait!
We have been before but it was 11 years ago so I am really looking forward to exploring so many new things.
I'd love to hear any of your travel tips, places to stay or things I must see or do :)

Very exciting! We stayed at the Intercontinental Times Square. It was brand new 12 months ago when we went and was beautiful. Also very central to everything. Ange
ReplyDeleteHow exciting! I love New York. Just did a Wordless Wednesday post about New York after all the BlogHer 2012 talk. I've been 3 times and love it. There is always so much to explore and Autumn (Fall for the Americans) would be better than the humidity of Summer. I love the Museum Mile - The MET and Guggenheim are favourites. I love a walk through Central Park, and of course, lots of shopping, especially if you can get bargains (Macy's, Bloomingdales, Sak's 5th Ave, Lord & Taylor) or go to bargain outlets like TJ Maxx, Century 21, Syms, Loehmans, etc). I love the free Staten Island Ferry that swings past the Statue of Liberty. If you are keen on shows, lining up at Times Square for TKTS half price tickets is an affordable way to see many shows. And if you feel like walking, the Big Onion Walking tours are excellent (http://bigonion.com/). You get an insiders insight and that's so much better than just looking in from the outside as a tourist. I did so many when I visited. I could go on and on but I'd better stop. Enjoy your holiday and feel free to stop by my blog and check out the Wordless Wednesday - New York New York post. It's only the smallest taste of the excitement that is New York!
