Now that Christmas is behind us my thoughts have turned to next year and things I want to do.
I have been living in a little "mummy" cocoon for the last few years and it is time for me to get back a little bit of myself.
Some things I would like to do next year include :
I have been living in a little "mummy" cocoon for the last few years and it is time for me to get back a little bit of myself.
Some things I would like to do next year include :
Learn to play the piano.
Do more cooking. Try new recipes.
Create an inspiring office area at home and bite the bullet and start my own little business.
More details to come :)
Learn another language. I'm leaning towards French or Italian.
Learn to surf, so I can share my boy's passion.
I have already started on this one! I caught 5 waves while on holiday in Byron. Stoked! :)
Live a healthier lifestyle.
I have been saying this one for ages but this year could be the year!
I want to eat fresh, organic food topped with a sprinkle of exercise 4 - 5 times a week.
Consistency is my problem!
Simon and I would also like to try and do an overseas trip together. Just for a week or so.
We would love to go back to New York but I dont know if I can leave the boys just yet!
Anyway these are just a few of the things I want to do.
I might do all of them or I might do nothing at all!
The fun part is making the list :)
What do you want to achieve?
Lovely post, you have lots of things you want to do and I wish you all the success in the world in 2011. I too have lots of things I want to achieve- mainly get our new home finished and move in.
ReplyDeleteAll things nice...
Loved reading your post. It's so easy to get stuck in the mum rut but they do get older and we have to move on - I think its exciting and your plans sound great.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice starting off a new year with a list of things you want to achieve, I'm still in the thinking phase deciding what my goals for 2011 will be. I think learning another language is a great idea and your business venture has me intrigued... x
ReplyDeleteJust clicked that you are a Simon and Simone couple. How cool!! Must be a little tricky with the mail is it? Own business huh? Can't wait to hear the details....
ReplyDeleteOoohh, can't wait to hear about the new business venture! I haven't worked out my goals yet, but hopefully lots of art and renovating, as well as lots of peace :)
ReplyDeleteSimone, this is an exciting list! Did you play piano as a girl? I know alot of people get the yearning to revisit an instrument they gave up years ago..
ReplyDeleteIt is exciting to think of the possibilities :) Martha, yes we are a matching pair. What are the odds?! Luckily we have a different middle initial. I did study Italian at school for 4 years so that would be the obvious choice but French sounds so romantic :) I also played the piano when I was younger. Hopefully it all comes flooding back to me! Thought about buying some U.S dollars as the Aussie dollar is so strong, could be a little push towards New York :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely list of things to do in the coming year ♥
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous list Simone :) Your 2011 already sounds so eventful, inspiring & memorable!! I can't wait to hear about your home-business plans! All the best Lovely Simone & Happy New Year!

Oh yes, you should take a trip, i just did it this year, a second honeymoon to Europe after 13 years of holidaying with children & it was magical, just the two of us, i loved it!! The children were fine, they loved the little goodies we brought home & had a chance to miss me!! I'm up for new things, not languages or music, i have to re-learn high school as my eldest starts. Have a fantastic new year, love Posie
ReplyDeleteOh, Simone, a fab post. An array of exciting possibilities. As a language lover, I would recommend French as the sentence structure is similar to English, we have a lot of shared words (or roots of words) and they only have two choices of gender (le and la). German has three which makes it harder. Bonne chance! J x
