I never knew I needed a pink fridge!

So I never knew I needed a pink Smeg fridge.

 Until I saw these pictures.

I know you have probably seen these pics before but I just couldnt help myself!

So pretty and so impractical but sometimes you just want something, right?

Mr Whippy is everywhere!

So you know who Mr Whippy is right?

That delicious pink icecream van that used to drive around the neighbourhood on a Sunday with Greensleeves tinkling from its speaker.

Well anyway, I am seeing Mr Whippy vans everywhere! They seem to be the latest accessory for photo shoots. Gorgeous models holding dripping icecream cones. Hmmm, I never see them eating the icecream though :)

My kids have never experienced the thrill of running outside with some money and buying an icecream from Mr Whippy. We live on a main road and I doubt he will ever make it over our way. Sometimes we hear Greensleeves in the distance on a sunny Sunday and Finn always says "oh I wish we lived on a quiet street".

Our favourite "easy" dinner

So on those nights that we don't really want to spend too much time making dinner, homemade pizzas are our go to meal.

So simple, quick and the perfect way to use up whats in the fridge!

We use a wholemeal lavash bread for a healthy, thin base, a scrape of tomato paste, various toppings and cheese. Pop it onto our electric pizza stone and voila, in 3 mins we have a delicious pizza. So much quicker and healthier than a takeaway.

The kids love to create their own pizza and I am just happy that we actually use the pizza stone!

It was one of those items that Simon had to have. I thought we would use it once or twice then it would be abandoned in the cupboard with the long forgotten bread maker, juicer, .........

 ( you get the picture!)

Our Fathers Day

Hi everyone, hope you all had a lovely Sunday/Father's Day yesterday.

The boys were so excited to give Simon his presents. Finn had made a book for him about their father/son memories (so far!). 

I loved watching him write it and choose the photos. The boys both made cards, which I always think is a nice touch. I slipped in some mens anti ageing products as a little joke as Simon is getting a little vain about his skin! He had a giggle but I bet they get used :) He also got some choccies and a tshirt.

We went out for bfast with Simon's parents. A delicious cooked breakfast is always a perfect start to Fathers Day. I loved watching Simon and Paul (my father in law) pile their plates high with bacon, eggs, toast, baked beans, mushrooms and hash browns like they hadnt eaten all week!  

After breaky we let the boys ride their bike/scooters along the path at Manly where we almost got blown away by the gale force wind! After getting home Simon decided to use his Fathers Day advantage and went for a surf for a couple of hours and then he, Finn and Simon's dad went to the footy to watch Manly play their last home game.

My dad had to work today but I got to spend a couple of days with him through the week. It was so sweet to see him with the boys. He is a very good Poppy and Jasper was his little shadow while he was here :) I gave him the perfect present. A Bunnings voucher! The man would live there if he could! There is always a new tool or something he has to have.

Dinner was fish and salad followed by Simon's favourite Sticky Date Pudding for dessert.

All in all a wonderful day for a wonderful dad !
