Last week of lockdown - visual diary

  A few photos from our last week in lockdown...

We've had sunny days, stormy days, hot days with lots of swims in the pool.

We made a batch of white wine sangria, lots of work around the house.

We've finished the painting in the house and are pulling the rooms back together,  we have had new carpet laid in the bedrooms, we are laying new pavers for the outside patio and pruning plants.

We are just about to start renovating our ensuite bathroom.

As we celebrated "Freedom Day" in NSW yesterday, life will begin to open up and start to look a little different from the past 16 weeks that we have spent in lockdown at home. 

(Although our normality won't really begin until the boys go back to school.)

We have our haircuts booked and a reservation for dinner out but we will ease ourselves slowly back into normality. xx

Our week - photo diary

 We had another birthday in the house... Finn turned 19. It was his second year having a birthday in Lockdown which isn't fun but at least he had a donut delivery!

This birthday memory came up on Facebook - Finn celebrating his 11th birthday!

Our renovation progress has slowed down due to the stoppage of all trades and builders but we have been completing the jobs we can do ourselves and some of the rooms are coming together. I've been busy editing and refining all of our furniture and homewares and only keeping the things I truly love.

There has also been a couple of new purchases of course!

I edited the shelving and rejigged it into a more neutral theme...

The mild weather has resulted in some beautiful sunsets. You can definitely feel Spring around the corner.

Lockdown update

 Hello! We are still in lockdown, now going into week 6. 

Life has settled into a routine of school work, a walk/exercise and a few jobs around the house. 

We are losing track of time and days but even though our commitments outside the house have slowed, our days are very full and the usual household jobs are keeping me busy. Especially with everyone home all of the time. 

Simon and I are also chipping away at the jobs we can do for the renovation that we don't need tradies for. 

Simon had a birthday, cards and cake were the order of the day plus a gift voucher for a surf trip when this all ends! We also have Finn's birthday coming up.
