My Summer Favourites - fashion + beauty picks

Over the holidays I have been dressing super casual. I have been living in either maxi or midi (my new favourite length!) dresses with the occasional swap from thongs to sandals when the occasion has warranted it. I've been wearing a hat everyday and I've picked up so many cheap pairs of sunglasses that I have them stashed everywhere! In my bag, in the car, near the pool etc.

Here are my favourite Summer fashion picks.

I find dresses so easy to throw on and you don't have to think too much about accessories.
I am really loving white this Summer too. The Napisan is getting a work out! :)

I have a few swimsuits in rotation, 2 x one piece suits - 1 in print, 1 plain black. Also a black bikini.
I really love a one piece, especially if it is cut a bit lower at the front and back. You feel covered but not too covered up if that makes sense! This one here and here are similar to my own ones.

I have also been VERY relaxed with my beauty routine too. I got my eyelashes tinted before Christmas and that has removed any need for me to wear mascara during the day, while swimming etc.

I've given my foundation a rest and have been using a BB cream instead. I love the one below from Garnier. Dry shampoo gives my hair a bit of body after all the swimming and washing, tinted lip balm has replaced my lipstick and I pop on a spritz of perfume when I leave the house.

So what have you been wearing this Summer?
Any beauty product that has become a favourite lately?

Our Week - the holiday version

We are still in our lovely, lazy holiday bubble. The weather has been terrific so we have been utilising the beach and pool so much. We actually haven't really gone anywhere else or done any other activities. It's all been about the water!

Meal times are loose and when we are hungry. Dinners are a scramble of what we have in the cupboards or a bbq chicken picked up on the way home or fish n chips at the beach. I'm only hitting the shops when it's a necessity.

I am really stretching out this holiday vibe for as long as possible before the routine and hustle and bustle of the school year begins. Afternoon naps/quiet time are a regular part of the day for everyone. The hours of 1pm - 3pm is a lovely quiet time for everyone to rest, read and chill out.

Although I have found a little motivation to rearrange the shelves in the living area, paint the coffee tables and a surf board and change over the rugs. I wanted to create a fresh, clean look for the new year. I will have a post up shortly with all the little changes that I've made around the home.

Here are a few snaps from the week-

The lightbox sums up our week and holidays perfectly

So happy with the rugs I picked up in the sales. They are from Freedom but are now discontinued.

Couldn't resist picking these pretty flowers up from the markets.
Someone told me they're called "fairy floss"

Sweet treats for visitors coming over for afternoon tea

Pure Summer!

How has your week been? Are you still on holidays?
Still clinging to that holiday vibe?
