Blue striped linen to bring in the Spring vibes

Our staircase is 99% finished and looking amazing!

Our living space

Jasper has been sick with the flu all week so fresh sheets mid week are a must

It is so lovely to have all the rooms pulled back together and all my decor in place

The backyard is ready for the warmer weather

We put up some new numbers on the gate, it's all about those finishing touches. Also we are loving our new Colourbond front facade amongst the greenery

This Week - Visual Diary

With all of the sadness happening in the world right now with the Russian/Ukraine war and the flooding in Northern NSW and Queensland it is important to stop and take notice of the little snippets of happiness throughout the week. Here are a few of mine...

Sunshine after weeks of rain

The plants looking so lush after all the rain and humid conditions

Dash enjoying the sun during a brief respite from the rain

Delicious lychee cocktails

My dad turned 70

The renovation continues - our bathroom upstairs and where the stairs will go in our entryway

Holiday mode

Holiday mode...
Slow mornings, beach days, afternoon drinks, a broken bone in the foot for Simon and the start of our first floor addition to the house and the rest of our renovations finished off!

With Covid going crazy we have been staying close to home.  We've had a couple of trips to the movies to see Spiderman and Sing 2 which we loved. We feel so grateful that we had our wonderful trip to QLD and Byron with beautiful weather to start our holidays off so well!

Lockdown Diary

I think we are at day 17 of our Lockdown this time around. I have lost all sense of time!

We are just about to start home schooling tomorrow so I  thought I would pop up a few photos from our time at home these last couple of weeks.

It was a slow school holidays and while I was keen from a break from the busy schedules and commitments, I think this was taking things to extreme! So grateful though for my healthy family and a warm space to bunker down in.

One of the only things that changed through our days was where we took our daily walk. We are so lucky to have so many beautiful places so close to home.

Blue skies and ocean walks...

Another day, another walk. Through the trees with the remote control cars

Our studio apartment/office above the garage has been the perfect escape when you need a little space and quiet time. It's also lovely and clean compared to inside while we do the renovations!
You can see more of this space here and here

Manly Dam

Our renovations continue on with Simon doing a lot of work himself. We are doing a first floor addition soon and thought we'd take the time now to open up the walls to put in the structures needed to hold up the first floor. We are also pulling walls down, adding wardrobes, changing windows, refreshing the paint and carpet. We built our home 20 years ago and we are making the changes that will sustain our family life as we go into the next 20 years.

Dash has been enjoying having us all home and his extra walks each week.

I hope you are well and keeping healthy xx

Around here lately.....

How are you? Wow, it's the middle of February and we are well and truly back into routine.
It's funny how the school term has such a fast pace! I thought I would do a bit of a photo dump and catch you up on what's been happening around here lately.....

The boys on their first day back at school.
Finn year 12, Jasper year 7 and Noah year 2. An exciting year ahead!

I'm giving the house a little update here and there as I like to do every few months.
This can consist of changing up some prints, some new bedlinen or moving the plants around to different spots for a fresh look.

Like most of Sydney we had a deluge of rain last week. We lost power for 2 days and still only have half the electricity back. It's supposed to be all back on by the weekend. Fingers crossed!

Due to the rain we have been doing mainly indoor activities. A new free form rock climbing place recently opened near us that the boys love. Also Noah's art set that he received for Christmas has been getting quite a work out.

But the main thing that has been taking up most of our time and thoughts is the extension we are currently doing to the house. We are creating a studio apartment/office space on top of our garage.
It's exciting to watch it go up and we are really looking forward to utilising the extra space.
Stay tuned for updates!

The Before Photo....

During....

We're still a couple of months away from completion.

Anyway that's what we've been up to lately! How about you? x
