Christmas Day 2016

How was your Christmas? I hope it was a good one!
Our's was lovely and relaxed and spent with family, lots of delicious food and Santa brought some great gifts for the kids. Everyone was happy :)

The boys set out their Santa sacks on Christmas Eve, along with some snacks for Santa and his reindeers. We also said goodbye to our elf Melvin. I let the boys give him a hug before he left.
They were very sweet and whispered some last minute messages to him to give to Santa!

Christmas morning started bright and early at 5.45pm. Someone was quite excited to see that Santa had been and woke everyone up. My favourite part of Christmas day is seeing the boys look through their presents and watching the joy on their faces. Bliss!

Lunch was at my sister + brother in law's house so we headed over there to open more presents with the family and settle in for the afternoon.

Everything looked beautiful and Emma had made lots of gorgeous wreaths that were hung about the place. Lunch was delicious and dessert even better ;)

After we had said our goodbyes and headed home (the joy of having family live around the corner, no travelling on christmas day!) the kids tried out a few of their gifts and we finished our Christmas Day in the pool. The perfect end to the day.......

I loved having a hot Christmas Day this year, it reminded me of Christmas as a kid.
It has been grey and cooler the last few years.

So that's Christmas done for another year! How was your day?
