Bookcase Love!

Well I have one of my bookcases in and "styled" up and I love it!

Big hugs and kisses to Simon for doing an amazing job with the Billy bookcases from Ikea. We ended up going with 5 Billy bookcases (4 large and 1 small), bookcase extenders and doors. We saved over $3000 going with this option instead of having them custom built. You can't beat that! Although I don't think Simon wants to look at another flat pack for a while :)

Just a few finishing touches to go, like the trims around the bookcases to give that "built in" feel.

I'm proud to say all the bits n bobs are from my cupboards. I knew they would be used eventually :)

So what do you think?

The progress.....

Simone xx

  1. Wow, I think it looks fantastic! I thought the first picture was from a magazine. I didn't realise you could put the extenders and doors. Simon did a fantastic job, I know how time consuming that must have been. Well done! ;-)

  2. It looks great! Some edging will really finish it off and make it look built in. What pretty things you have! Have a great week :)

  8. Wow that looks amazing! Pity I just did my last IKEA mission a couple of weeks ago. On a side note, would you mind sharing the paint colour on the walls? My flooring and furniture is similar to yours and your walls work so well with it, thanks!

  10. Simone, they look awesome!! SO stylish and well displayed with all your gorgeous bits and bobs. I'd love to see a photo of them from a distance to see how they fit in with the rest of your room - I'm wondering if this option might be possible for what we're after. Bet Simon is glad that job is over :) Love your blue cushion on the couch too x
