Love this idea.

Love this idea for a Party!
Don't you think this is fabulous?
Isn't it amazing when you really connect with a book and want to share it with everybody.
I was thinking about which book I would bring and it is such a hard decision!

I've been thinking back to my first favourite books as a child and I remember loving the book "Black Beauty". I remember reading it several times.
I'm thinking about collecting my childhood favourites again. A little bit sentimental :)

What is your favourite book? And why that one?

I'm always on the look out for my new favourite :)

  3. I saw this image on Pinterest a while back and thought of you Simone! How funny that you should end up using it. My favourite book growing up was 'My Family and Other Animals' by Gerald Durrell. My all time favourite grown up book is The Bridges of Madison County by Robert James Waller. A beautifully written book of love gained and lost. xx

  4. Love it! I think I might do something like that with my girlfriends! My favourite childhood book was the Faraway Tree (series), read them over and over again! My favourite book of all time is Pride and Prejudice. I discovered it in Year 12, and I just adore it! I don't think I could swap my copy though!!!

  6. Hi Simone, I have just found your blog through Georgie's blog and boy I'm glad I did! You have a gorgeous blog going here.
Favourite books would have to be Charlotte's Web, as a child. Then Cloudstreet by Tim Winton as an adult. Both of these stories have just stayed with me, for my entire life. I think I was about 18 when I read Cloudstreet, but it's still up there as one of my faves. Charlotte's Web is just a beautiful tale and brings a tear to my eye every time.

  7. Love this idea too!! It's funny, I picked up my old childhood favourite the other day to re-read again too - Little Women. Along with Anne Of Green Gables and The Secret Garden, they were some of my favourite reads.

  8. I like the idea of that. Favourite book...that's tough. I think of the last decade it's been Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. Reading's such a joy isn't it.
