Polka Dot Wall Stickers

My latest project has been to put up these gold foil polka dot wall stickers that I bought about a month ago and have been sitting on my desk waiting for me to have some time.

I bought mine from Look Sugar.

To pop up the Wall Stickers you will need.

*The stickers cut up individually
*Tape Measure
*Bullseye laser level or some other kind of level
*A little stool to put up the high ones
*A pencil to mark out where you want to put the dots.

I had Simon helping me (well doing it all really)
and he measured the wall and calculated the spacing between the dots. We went with a 30cm gap.

We put a tiny mark in lead pencil on the wall to show where the dots had to go. The spacing stayed the same down the wall and every second row was in the middle of the dots above.

To place the dots on the wall you need to remove the backing, keeping the dot attached to the contact paper. Place the polka dot on the correct spot and smooth it down. I found using your fingers to smooth the dot down was easier that using the little tool they give you. You then peel the contact away.

I am really happy with them. The photos can't capture how stunning they are.

I'm happy Simon took the lead with them too. I don't think I would have taken as much care on my own. All up it took about 2 hours.

What do you think?
Can you see some polka dots on your wall?

  2. LOVE it! Love how it looks like wall paper, but probably is so much easier to remove when you want a change.

  3. They look Gorgeous Simone! I've been ummm-ing and ahh-ing about doing this in one of my bedrooms or the study - I don't think I would have the patience, so I think I'd be best to follow your lead and recruit the husband to assist (or do all the work actually)!!

  7. This looks great, Simone. Very important to have an inspired little nook to work in. I think our home office could do with a little more sprucing up but I'm not entirely sure what I could do - we have almost every wall covered with bookcases! Hope you've been well and sorry I haven't been around much. Sal xxx
