Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Williams Sonoma and West Elm is in Sydney!

I had the most wonderful morning today when I was invited to take a sneak peek at the brand new stores Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, Williams-Sonoma and West Elm located in Bondi Junction.

The stores open tomorrow and you must go and take a look!
They are on the corner of Oxford St Mall and Grosvenor St, Bondi Junction.

We were shown through Williams-Sonoma first and it was so beautiful. My photos can't describe how visually perfect everything is. Williams-Sonoma has everything you could wish for in relation to cooking. Beautiful Le Crueset, amazing copper pans, all kinds of baking trays, juicers etc. They have it!

But the part I loved the best was the Cooking School.

The space itself is gorgeous and is set out to encourage interaction with customers. There will also be a coffee bar to taste the many coffee options plus a Food Hall with gourmet local foods.
I do want to sign up for one of the cooking courses. It caters for everyone from beginners to advanced cooks and teaches you basic knife skills, how to make cheese, bake bread etc. I would love to be a bit more confident in the kitchen. Also if you go to the Williams-Sonoma blog, The Blender, you can find recipes and tips for creating delicious meals.

We then moved onto West Elm which is an eclectic mix of homewares and furniture. I loved the grass cloth desk and mirror especially. They also had a chevron rug I loved too.

They also have a blog called Front & Main where you can see the latest collections, design tips etc.

Next up was Pottery Barn. I loved the range of window and floor coverings. There is a Turkish Kilim there I've got my eye on!

They also have an amazing design service which can help you with all of your decorating needs. Swatches of fabric, wood and leather are available to look at and take home to match up with your existing furniture/homewares.

We finished up in Pottery Barn Kids and it was so dreamy! So many choices for linen, bedding, flooring and curtains in patterns I haven't really seen before.

I really loved the Anywhere Chair which comes in a variety of colours and patterns. Some even have slipcovers that can be removed and monogrammed.
They already had a sweet little one for Noah :)

There is even a monogramming station to personalise blankets etc. I think that would make the perfect gift for a new baby. It's done in store while you wait.

Also Pottery Barn Kids will be doing in-store events like Book Club, Mothers Day craft, Doll Tea Party and National Geographic Little Explorers. You can find out more details online or on Facebook - www.facebook.com/potterybarnkids

I was invited to view the new stores with no obligation to write about them at all. I'm just sharing my views on them and I haven't been paid at all for this review. As you know, I adore looking at furniture and homewares and I know a lot of my readers do too :)

So if you can't pop into the Sydney stores make sure you take a look online!

  3. Everything looks so beautiful! I love browsing these stores when visiting the US and now I'm so glad that they're only 20 minutes away from home (my wallet might not be so happy though!). Those mini armchairs for kids are supercute! Did you end up buying anything on the day?

    1. Daisy, the merchandising was gorgeous! I definitely want to pop back as it was so visually overwhelming on the day I didn't know what I wanted but I do think I will get Noah the Everyday Chair and they had some lovely patterned sheets for the boys plus some bakeware from Williams Sonoma. I could go on!! xx

  6. Hi Simone - I agree it is so fantastic to have these beautiful stores finally at our doorstep! Married to a San Franciscan I am very familiar with these beautiful products - unfortunately it appears they are experiencing severe teething problems in regard to ordering products which aren't in stock in Australia. I am currently having the most frustrating experience in regard to a rocking chair I ordered over 2 months ago - after being promised from the start that it would be delivered by 20 October (in time for our baby) it is still not here and our baby is now about to pop! The customer service that I have grown to expect and love has simply not been there and it appears that having the Australian customer service located in the states is leading to a breakdown in communication all round. I have followed up on the delivery of my item numerous times over the past weeks to get a mixed message every time - ie - my delivery was confimed in Australia over a month ago and just today I've been told it's now delayed until mid November? I have sent through emails and made direct calls and Customer services has promised a reply within hours which has never happened. I would then again follow up days later. Just today I questioned whether normal process for delays would be to notify customers and I was advised that their automated system is not yet set up for Australia. For anyone who is working with any sort of time frame I would avoid ordering products that aren't in store. I'm actually now considering canceling my order all together and have left a message for a supervisor to return my call. Will see how if I get a response. Clearly very frustrated.
