Our Sunday.

We had the family over for lunch today as a surprise celebration for my mother in laws retirement.

We hired a huge paella dish and Simon made the most delicious paella with chicken, chorizo, prawns, rice, capsicum, tomatoes, corn and stock. It was a hit plus plenty for leftovers & lunches tomorrow!

It was the perfect lazy Sunday afternoon, the kids played in the sunshine, we sat around and chatted and Noah practiced his walking. He's up to 4 steps before falling down :)

I also tried out a new punch recipe which was a mix of lemonade, cranberry juice, rosewater, raspberries and lime. It was so lovely. I always like to make something different to drink for occasions just to make them a little special.

How was your Sunday?
Do you like paella?

  3. Wow, that paella looks incredible! I would not have a clue how to cook paella, so have only had it once.

Really loving your dark floorboards; I have floorboard envy!

    That last picture is fantastic.

    1. It's pretty easy Rhiannon, just google a recipe although I think most things work in it. Love the floorboards but they are work to keep looking good as things show up pretty easily. I'm thinking about banning rice cakes and toast! ;)

  5. It looked amazing on the table for everyone to help themselves. I've seen they do pans for 200 so would love to do a huge party and serve that!! Maybe an idea for Simon's 40th in a few years xx
