Our Christmas Day.

How was your Christmas?
We had a lovely day celebrating Christmas, it was even more special as it was Noah's first one :)

The boys woke at around 7am and came and got us to let us know Santa had been.
We all trooped out to go through the Santa sacks. Santa was very good and got everyone exactly what they had wanted!

We went around to Simon's brother's house for our Christmas lunch this year. We all take turns in hosting it. I must admit it was lovely to have someone else organise it this year. I think I am still recovering from our turn last year :)

My sister in law Emma has a knack for decorating and the house was looking gorgeous. Lunch was delicious and the boys enjoyed spending time with their family.

It felt like day flew by and Christmas was over for another year.
Today was spent disposing off all the packaging from presents and finding spots for the new gifts to live. I also decided to pull down the tree and decorations whilst I was at it. I know it is against tradition but I was ready for the house to be tidy and back to normal.

(A peek at my pressies below - my new bracelet, chunk of rose quartz and a stack of new books.)

Hope you had a wonderful day?
What was your favourite part of yesterday? How long do you keep your tree up?

  2. Love that rose quartz chunk. What lovely gifts you received, hope the Kylie book is a good one. Your Christmas looked like a lovely one spent with family, the photo of the five of you is a lovely one. Our day was fun, but full on and I too spent today getting our house back to normal, finding homes for presents etc. Our tree is still up, I tend to leave it up until around New Years... x

    1. It was straight out of a magazine Julie, just lovely. Thank god the garbage was collected the next day. Love how they do the paper/cardboard after Chrissy and the bottles after New Year. Someone has actually thought it out ;) xx

I'd love to know what that FIND AND KEEP book is like :)

Love the photo of you, Simon and the boys. GORGEOUS!

I was wondering when I should put the tree & decorations down. Might do it this weekend! Get the place back to 'normal' ready to embrace a new year!

  5. Looks like you had a lovely day. I packed our tree and decorations up yesterday (Boxing Day) although organising all the new toys/books/presents in general is proving to be a bit more time consuming!!
